Roses blooming now and Arugula flowering

Hello everyone, I have added some new roses to my rose garden and thought I'd show you the colors. I love the one above...it is almost lavender.

Pink in any shade is always lovely!

And this Sonya colored one or coral colored is really nice.

Now, what in the world happened here you might ask! My Arugula lettuce got so big and I just let it go and now it is flowering. It actually looks really pretty flowering and I hate to pull it up! I am getting ready to transform my veg garden into a flower garden for the Spring and Summer, so I think I will leave it awhile. The white blooms are really quite nice! Happy
Gardening to you!

  1. These roses - both nature's own and your interpretations of them - are stunningly beautiful, Egretta. Absolutely beautiful.

Although I didn't inherit my mother's green thumb when it comes to actual gardening, I love being surrounded by and immersing myself into nature - especially flowers. All those gorgeous, life-affirming colours, in every hue, in every shade, in all shapes and all sizes - nature's magic takes my breath away with such beauty as roses like these in your lovely garden.

Thanks for sharing. They truly are beautiful, and have made a very grey and wet and cold Irish day quite a bit brighter, warmer and colour-filled. - June

  3. Did you know that the flowers are edible? Sprinkle them on top of your salad.

  4. The roses are really pretty, I bet they smell good. I like the flowering lettuce. I had flowering broccoli and it flowered a very long time and looked really pretty.
