Hi everyone, just a few photos of some of my decorations around the house. I have a very old Bible displayed on the buffet beside a small nativity scene. The Bible dates over 200 years ago!
Here are some of the Annalee dolls I collect. Notice the flickering lamp in the background (this photo is so bad!). I have "electrified" it and bought a flicker bulb to put in it and it gives of the nicest, warmest glow.
A simple bowl of antique ornaments makes a nice decoration.
A white poinsetta in front of the stained glass window in the dining room. This poinsetta is so pretty with the little touch of pale pink in it.
Merry Christmas, all!
That poinsettia is just gorgeous. I see the Annalee dolls in stores. They are so interesting and look like they are really fun to collect to create a festive little Christmas scene. Your southern cottage must be very welcoming for your visitors and family.
ReplyDeleteWe have a rather similar Bible. It's not 200 years old, but it did belong to my great-grandmother. Inside it are recorded Births, Deaths and Marriages for many of my family members.
ReplyDeletePretty decorations! The white poinsettia is really pretty. Your bowl of decorations are a nice idea.
ReplyDeleteI really like the old lamp you have electicfied. I know it has to smell better than the oil lamps I light sometimes. You home looks so festive. Thanks for sharing. Stella
ReplyDeleteSo festive and pretty Egretta. I love your poinsettia.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas to you and yours.
Thank you so much for all the nice comments! I hope you are having fun getting ready for Christmas, family and guests. All the best to everyone, Egretta
