Hi everyone, Last evening, right before the sun went down, I walked around the property to see how badly things were affected by the freezing temperatures we have had. Actually, teh only things hurt really bad were the tomato, pepper and basil plants. The broccoli and cabbages still look good, maybe just the slightest color change on some leaves, but I think they will be fine.
The roses love the cooler weather, I guess.
This bougainvillea is blooming profusely and the color looks great against the white of the house!

I am glad the freeze did not do too much damage Egretta. The Flame Vine is so pretty and it is wonderful to see roses in bloom. Have a wonderful week.
ReplyDeleteThe colour of the setting sun on those tree-trunks is lovely. We have a group of Scots Pine trees right opposite our house, which catch the evening sun in a very similar way.
ReplyDeleteBroccoli and Cabbage will put up with some very low temperatures - last year mine survived minus 17C.
You have such a lovely home.
ReplyDeleteWe have hear about the cold temps in your area, but your garden seems to have survived. Nice to see color in your garden. Here we are in the depths of another cold, dry, brown winter.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty photos of house and garden, and your veggies look really good.
