Hi everyone and welcome to Ten Gables,
What an exciting thing happened today! Just glancing out the kitchen window, I spotted a whole flock of wild turkeys in the back yard! There were at least 2 hens and about 8 or 10 young chicks and at least one big gobbler! I dared not go too close, resorting to taking photos from the back porch, so you will have to enlarge the photos to be able to see them very well.
The biggest part of the flock is over to the left of the photo in the shade of the trees. Click on it and see if you can spot them.
Notice, too, the dried grass... we are having a severe drought.
Have a great day, Egretta
Hi Egretta; glad you managed to solve the "unable to post comments" issue. Maybe you shuold publish the fix for the benefit of others so afflicted?
ReplyDeleteHaving any truly wild animals / birds in your garden is always exciting - though there is also the thought "which of my lovingly-nurtured plants will they eat?"!
I'm thinking... thanksgiving dinner!
